A family owned business serving the Beef industry for over 100 years with superior quality and unparalleled knowledge. Staffed with very approachable, knowledgeable, and highly respected personnel, they process 100 cattle per day and distribute beef, primarily in carcass form, to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Superior cattle result in superior flavor, and much of their beef is enjoyed at the finest restaurants in the country! Almost all of the beef produced at J.W. Treuth is shipped in carcass form. We at A. Stein Meat Products, Inc. are one of the few distributors in the area that handle fresh beef, or the expressions commonly used including \"hanging\" beef, \"swinging\" beef, or \"rail\" beef. Front quarters and hind quarters are hung from a hook and transported accordingly. All carcasses are inspected and graded by the USDA on a daily basis under strict guidelines. Reflecting the quality, a carcass may be graded USDA Prime, USDA Choice, or USDA Select. A yield grade of 2 or 3 is also stamped on the carcass representing the overall fat covering as well as the size of the ribeye. A. Stein Meat products is proud to distribute close to 90 percent of the prime cattle produced by J.W. Treuth and sons. intensity.
